New England Innovation Academy (NEIA), the nation’s first human-centered design middle and high school, today announced the appointment of Raymond Chang as Interim Head of School, effective immediately.
In his role as Interim Head of School, Chang will focus on strengthening community alignment, reinforcing NEIA’s culture, and ensuring the school remains firmly rooted in its core values of entrepreneurship, innovation, human-centered design, and student well-being. “As a co-founder and former Trustee, Raymond brings a deep and enduring commitment to NEIA’s mission,” said Jean Jones, Co-Founder of NEIA and Chair of the Board of Trustees. “He understands this school at its core—its purpose, its people, and its potential. Raymond’s entrepreneurial leadership and values-driven approach position him well to guide NEIA during this important period and to help the school build confidently toward its future.”
Chang brings a distinguished record as both a successful entrepreneur and a seasoned educator, aligning closely with NEIA’s mission to prepare students for a rapidly changing world through innovation and real-world learning. Over the course of his career, Chang has founded and led multiple companies and has taken organizations public on NASDAQ, the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, the London Stock Exchange, and the Tokyo Stock Exchange. His experience building and scaling organizations through periods of growth and transformation reflects the entrepreneurial mindset NEIA seeks to instill in its students.
Chang is also an experienced educator. He has taught entrepreneurship at the Yale School of Management and currently teaches at Babson College. He plans to be actively engaged in teaching and learning at NEIA, working closely with students and faculty in and beyond the classroom.
