As the 2024–2025 school year draws to a close, we’re filled with gratitude, pride, and excitement for what’s ahead. This year at New England Innovation Academy has been nothing short of extraordinary—marked by personal growth, academic discovery, meaningful connection, and moments that reminded us why our community is so special.
From the very first days of school, our students started the year with our annual orientation trup to Merrowvista in New Hampshire. They spent three days and two nights building bonds and fostering connections with their peers in the mountains and nature. Students dove into learning and collaboration with energy and curiosity. Our classrooms buzzed with creativity as learners tackled real-world problems through human-centered design, and the Robotics team wowed us all by earning a spot at the New England Championship First Robotics Competition—an incredible milestone that showcased their dedication, teamwork, and STEM expertise.
Our students also took their learning far beyond the classroom. Through global exchange programs with our partner schools, Wahaha in China, and Escola L’Hortizó in Barcelona, NEIA students deepened their cultural understanding, made new friends across continents, and experienced the world through new perspectives. And at the NEXTGEN Summit in Costa Rica, our students joined a global cohort of young changemakers, stepping up as leaders and global citizens.
This year also brought exciting growth for NEIA as a school. We were thrilled to announce that Dr. Durga Suresh-Menon will join us as our next Head of School starting July 2025. Her dynamic leadership and shared vision for innovation and community will guide NEIA into an exciting new chapter.
Our athletics program reached new heights as well, with major progress toward expanded offerings and improved facilities. These strides reflect NEIA’s commitment to whole-student development—mind, body, and spirit.
Throughout the year, our residential life program fostered connection and independence, with students from around the world living and learning together under one roof. Whether gathered for a community dinner, working on projects late into the evening, or sharing traditions from home, our boarding students helped shape a vibrant and inclusive campus life.
And finally, as the school year ended, we celebrated our second graduating class with heartfelt tributes, joyful gatherings, and a sense of accomplishment that could be felt across campus. From their 12th grade community trip to Costa Rica to Tuesday 12th Grade PIN Talks in front of the whole school to the final walk across the stage, each moment honored the journey our students have taken—and the bright future ahead.
As we reflect on the year, it’s clear that NEIA is more than a school. It’s a place where students are seen, heard, challenged, and supported. A place where ideas grow, friendships form, and futures begin.
To our students, staff, and families—thank you for another incredible year. Here’s to a summer of rest and inspiration, and to all the possibilities waiting in 2025–2026.
