On Thursday night, The Space was filled with laughter, tears, and a deep sense of pride as the NEIA community came together for the annual Celebration of Graduates Dinner. This special evening honored the remarkable Class of 2025 with heartfelt speeches, shared memories, and meaningful connections between students, families, and staff.
Festivities began as families, friends, and staff arrived early to mingle, take photos, and soak in their final moments on the NEIA campus. The celebration officially opened with a warm welcome from Chuck Claus. Each student was then invited to the stage to reflect on their time at NEIA and express gratitude to those who supported them. In a touching surprise, each was joined by a staff member who delivered a thoughtful and personal tribute.
“NEIA has given me more than an education—it has helped me grow into someone more confident, more open-minded, and ready to take on the world,” said Eddie Zhou ’25.
Dinner was served family-style around round tables, where staff, students, and guests shared conversation and continued the celebration.
“As you move on from NEIA, I hope to go from calling you a student to calling you a friend,” said Nick Tamas, Materials and Methods Instructor.
Though the evening was interspersed with heartfelt videos, food, cake, and more, the emotion never waned. As students and staff took the stage one by one, the room swelled with applause, laughter, and more than a few tears.
“This community welcomed me with open arms and showed me what it’s like to be loved,” said Laura Mokrzycki ’25.
With closing remarks from Tamara Smith, the night concluded as it began—with deep appreciation for a community that celebrates its students not only for what they’ve accomplished, but for who they are becoming and all they will do beyond the NEIA walls.
Congratulations to the Class of 2025. We look forward to seeing where your journey takes you next.
