NEIA Alum Accepted into Y Combinator

We are thrilled to share that Aaron Zhang, NEIA’s Class of 2024 Innovator, has been accepted into Y Combinator, one of the world’s most prestigious startup accelerators. Aaron joins alongside his co-founder Felix Peng, making him NEIA’s first alum to earn a spot in the highly competitive program.

Aaron and Felix are the co-founders of Peer, a cutting-edge automation platform that allows users to automate any task simply by doing it once. By sharing their screen and walking through a task, Peer captures the workflow and the intent then AI runs it again on demand. No scripts, no flowcharts, no complicated setup. It’s a powerful tool designed to make automation accessible to everyone. With their Y Combinator acceptance, the team is now going full-time and relocating to San Francisco to build alongside some of the world’s most successful founders and startups.

Aaron’s entrepreneurial journey began right here at NEIA, where he developed foundational skills in design thinking, venture-building, and iteration through projects like PopSoap. The hands-on experience he gained — learning to identify problems, prototype solutions, and think like a founder — has carried forward in meaningful ways. His Y Combinator acceptance is a powerful testament to that early foundation.

We are incredibly proud of Aaron and Felix, and we can’t wait to see how Peer grows. Stories like Aaron’s are exactly why we believe in exposing students to real entrepreneurial experiences early. They inspire our current students to dream bigger, work harder, and see what is truly possible.

Congratulations, Aaron! NEIA is cheering you on! To learn more about what Aaron and Felix are building, check out Peer at peercv.com.
