SUBTEAMS

MECHANICAL

This subteam handles all physical aspects of robot construction in terms of building field elements, prototyping mechanisms, designing, and assembling structures, all while teaching safety, testing ,and building fast under pressure.

BUSINESS

This subteam handles everything outward-facing: branding, merch, sponsorship, communication, marketing, team identity, documentation, social media, and outreach.

CODE

The Programming Subteam’s goal is to deliver efficient, competition ready code. Through the means of WPILib, we design, implement, and maintain all code to control the mechanisms of our robot to ensure a seamless integration of hardware and software. We develop subsystem modules, drivetrain control, autonomous paths, tuning PID controllers and motors. Integration of vision and odometry systems into drivetrain control. We follow software engineering standards including version control, code reviews, documentation, and interactive testing on both simulations and the robot itself.

LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE

Students learn how to lead projects, collaborate under deadlines, communicate across subteams, and take ownership of major responsibilities. Members gain real-world leadership skills through hands-on problem solving, decision-making, and managing high-pressure build and competition environments.

STEM

Our team integrates STEM into every part of the program, including engineering, coding, electronics, design, testing, data analysis, and creative problem-solving. Through build season and off-season training, students get practical experience with tools, software, technical systems, and engineering concepts used in real industries. We do this by giving every member hands-on roles: designing parts in CAD, wiring real electrical systems, programming and testing code on the robot, analyzing match data, using fabrication tools in the shop, and solving problems together during high-pressure build and competition weeks.
