Two Formats: Fully Online and In-Person

In 2025, students participating in Babson Summer Study will have the choice to take the program in different formats: fully online or in-person. In both formats, students are enrolled in the Babson College course, EPS 1110 Introduction to the Entrepreneurial Experience. Regardless of format, the course takes place from 8am-11am Eastern Time, taught by a Babson College professor.

Fully online format:

Students take the full course online. The first hour is in a large virtual classroom with all other sections, followed by two hours where sections split into their professor’s Zoom classroom. Meetings with peers to complete group work are held online.

In-person format:

  • The In-person format takes place at New England Innovation Academy (NEIA) in Marlborough, Massachusetts, NOT at the Babson College campus in Wellesley Massachusetts.
  • The In-person format includes co-curricular programming from NEIA that compliments the Babson College course curriculum.
  • The In-person format is blended, meaning that students will be physically in a NEIA classroom with a Babson professor for the full three hours, but for the first hour they will join all other sections virtually in a Zoom session.
  • The in-person format offers two options:
    • Residential Student:  Students live on NEIA’s campus
    • Day Student: Students participate in the NEIA co-curricular content but do not live on NEIA’s campus; they arrange their own daily transportation and housing
