Position Summary 

The Summer Program Manager manages summer programs taking place at NEIA, ensuring a positive experience for all participants. The summer programs are held from July 7 – August 3, 2025. The role starts on May 3, 2025 and ends on August 3, 2025.

This job pays a $4,000 stipend.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Managing the planning and execution of day and boarding programming, including staff coordination, registration, attendance tracking, dismissals, communications, and related offsite activities.
  • Collaborating with the School Nurse to ensure all medical forms are received and updated before participant arrival.
  • Communicating with incoming students and families regarding expectations, arrival details, and program plans.
  • Working closely with faculty to address their classroom needs, including ordering supplies and setting up classrooms.
  • Coordinate with instructors, staff, and external partners to ensure smooth implementation of summer programs.
  • Coordinating with Facilities to ensure all operations are ready for summer programs, covering room assignments, transportation needs, food menus, classroom and presentation spaces, A/V, and IT setups.
  • Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and regulations throughout the duration of summer programs.

Living Arrangements: It is strongly preferred for the successful candidate to live on campus while the
programs are being held. However, arrangements for time off campus can be negotiated with the Head
of Collaborations & Strategic Partnerships with advance notice.

Qualifications

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and show initiative in a management role.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
  • Previous work experience in a school or camp setting is preferred.

Education &
Experience

  • High school diploma, required; advanced degree, preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience as a camp counselor or student facing-position.
  • Experience in an educational setting, preferred.

Supervisory Responsibilities

The Summer Program Manager does not supervise any other employees at NEIA.
