The Summer Program Activity Lead will be a key member of the NEIA Next-Level Summer Program team, responsible for overseeing residential programming and ensuring a safe, engaging, and transformative experience for program participants in grades 2-12. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee residential programming for the NEIA Next-Level Summer Program.
- Assist in the coordination and execution of all residential life activities, including evening and weekend events.
- Supervise and manage a team of Summer Program Team Lead Trainees.
- Work under the guidance of the Summer Program Coordinator to ensure smooth operations and high-quality programming.
- Serve as a role model and mentor to program participants, fostering a positive and inclusive community.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants, including enforcing program policies and procedures.
- Participate in staff training, including CPR certification (provided by the program).
- Support other program needs as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must reside on campus for the duration of the program (July 6 – August 8).
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as required.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of staff and participants.
- Enthusiasm for working with youth and fostering transformative experiences.
- Previous experience in residential life, summer camps, or educational programming is a plus but not required.
Supervisory Responsibilities
The Summer Program Activity Lead does not supervise any other employees at NEIA.
