NEIA and Babson College partnered to offer a 3-week program called NEIA Next: Entrepreneurial Mindset July 23 – August 11
The program teaches sustainable business ideas, entrepreneurial thinking, problem-solving, and team-building with full-time faculty from Babson College.
Students can visit top colleges and universities, present business ideas based on UN goals, and receive a certificate of completion from Babson Academy.
This Summer, New England Innovation Academy (NEIA) is offering “NEIA Next: Entrepreneurial Mindset with Babson College,” a program for students interested in developing sustainable business ideas, understanding business models, and mastering the process of venture creation. Taught by full-time teaching faculty from Babson college, this three-week boarding experience offers an unparalleled foundation for a successful career. It provides students with an opportunity to learn entrepreneurial thinking, problem-solving, and team-building through classes, workshops, and networking experiences.
Throughout the program, students will receive exposure to a comprehensive education that concludes with real impact Rocket Pitches, a chance to put into practice what they have learned. Additionally, the program provides students with a unique opportunity to visit top colleges and universities and learn about the college application process.
The program is hosted by NEIA and takes place on our state of the art campus. Students will have the chance to learn from expert faculty and leverage college development resources to fuel their transition to college and beyond. Upon completion of the program, students will receive a certificate of completion from Babson Academy for the Advancement of Global Entrepreneurial Learning.
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
Rocket Pitches
The program concludes with Rocket Pitches, where students present their innovative business ideas (products, services, solutions) based on the UN’s top 17 Sustainable Development Goals with a clear market in mind. This provides students with an opportunity to put into practice what they have learned during the program and develop their pitching skills.
Learn from full-time Babson College professors
Babson College is #1 in Entrepreneurship and courses in the Entrepreneurial Mindset program are taught by full-time Babson College faculty.
Visiting Top Colleges and Universities
In addition to the entrepreneurial mindset, students will learn about the college application process and experience first-hand what schools are looking for by visiting top college campuses, including MIT, Harvard, Yale, Northeastern, Boston College, and Boston University. This is a unique opportunity to familiarize yourself with the college atmosphere, get a feel for the campus, and meet current students, faculty, and staff.
Become Confident with the Entrepreneurial Mindset
Colleges and universities are looking for applicants who have diversified their resumes and who are actively pursuing their interests and passions. By participating in the program, you will learn to pitch ideas confidently, work in teams, digest challenging concepts, and negotiate outcomes amongst a diverse and competitive group of peers.
