Financial Aid

All families who are interested in financial aid must apply. Most admitted students that qualify for financial aid receive offers of assistance. For those who do not, however, we must caution that families enrolling without financial aid cannot expect to receive assistance in subsequent years.

To get started, please go to the Clarity Financial Aid and create an account. The application typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete and is mobile-friendly so you can complete it from anywhere. You are also able to save your progress and return at any time. At the end of the application, there is a $60 fee to submit, and you can share your application with additional schools that accept the Clarity Application for no additional charge. Simply use the dropdown menu in the application to select those schools.

Financial aid grants are awarded based on a family’s demonstrated need. NEIA uses information collected on the Clarity Financial Aid, supplemental tax documentation, and a deep understanding of each family’s individual financial circumstances in order to calculate each grant. Items such as how many household members exist, income, assets, expenses, and liabilities are all taken into account in our calculations.

Yes. NEIA is pleased to award merit scholarships based on a student’s academic, artistic, letter of recommendations, volunteer service or athletic achievements. Merit scholarships range from $5,000 to $15,000 and will remain for the duration of the students time at NEIA.

You are required to reapply for financial aid each year. Your award will stay the same, unless a minor change in circumstances. We are committed to making sure that NEIA is affordable for all admitted and returning innovators.

In cases of divorce or separation, NEIA requires both natural parents to apply for financial aid. The custodial and non-custodial parents must complete the financial aid application and provide copies of all tax schedules directly to Clarity Financial Aid. Stepparents’ ability to contribute to a student’s education is also considered.

All applications for financial aid are confidential. Only the Head of Enrollment, the Director of Admission, and the Head of School have access to the records.

Yes, we require all families to complete and submit the Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS) form through Clarity Financial Aid.

For families living outside the United States and who do not file U.S. tax documents, please submit official income/asset documentation for the previous year, such as foreign tax returns and/or official wage statements from employers. If tax information is in a language other than English, please submit a translated copy.  All supporting documents (official wage statements, etc.) are to be uploaded into the Clarity Application directly.

This fee covers all books and materials, including Innovation Studio, The Hive, all experiential learning field trip costs, and one Collaborations & Strategic Partnerships exploration program.

New and returning families will be notified of their rewards via their enrollment contracts

After NEIA the new student and returning enrollment process has been completed, NEIA can consider new applications for financial aid from families that enrolled initially without financial aid. Awards are not guaranteed, depending on the number of applicants and the remaining resources.
