NEIA 12th Grader, Carrie Mei (’25), Earns Silver Key in Massachusetts Scholastic Art Awards

Since its founding in 1923, the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards have stood as the nation’s longest-running and most esteemed program dedicated to recognizing and nurturing young talent in the visual and literary arts. With a long history of being the first to celebrate upcoming creative voices, this competition also serves as the largest provider of scholarships for teen artists and writers.

It is with great pride that we announce that NEIA 12th Grader, Carrie Mei (‘25), was awarded a Silver Key for her outstanding painting, Urban Slice. The Massachusetts Scholastic Awards received over 12,000 entries this year, highlighting the immense talent and dedication of students across the state. Only a small percentage of submissions are selected for recognition, making Carrie’s achievement a memorable one. Her work stood out among thousands of other students, earning a well-deserved place in this distinguished competition.

Congratulations to Carrie!
