Summer Programs

Led by NEIA’s Industrial Designer in Residence, Fransisco Mireles, the Innovation Studio: Mini-Inventor’s Workshop is an immersive experience that will introduce students to a needs-based product development process called human-centered design. Students will EXPLORE, EXPRESS, TEST, and CREATE with real-world practitioners and skills integral to the human-centered design process, including sketching, prototyping, electronics, coding, and presenting. The program will culminate in design presentations of all projects at the end of the week to parents and guardians. The ideal student for this program DOES NOT need previous design experience but should be ready to learn, create, and innovate.

This immersive week-long Computer Programming & Game Design workshop gives students a robust foundation to develop skills in the rapidly growing world of game design and coding. “I’m looking forward to starting the video game design program at NEIA. Welcome to the Middle School Leadership & Entrepreneurial Mindset Program—a transformative journey designed to empower young minds with the skills and mindset needed to lead with confidence and think like an entrepreneur.

In partnership with the Junior Celtics Academy, this immersive Sports Entrepreneurship program introduces students in grades 6-8 to the world of sports business, combining athletic activities with hands-on lessons in entrepreneurship. Over five days, students will learn key concepts of entrepreneurship through a sports lens, focusing on topics such as marketing, product development, and event management. They’ll develop critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership skills while applying what they learn directly to sports scenarios.

Robotics Adventure Week is a thrilling and interactive one-week robotics program

Babson Summer Study is a 3+ week experiential hybrid program for rising high school juniors and seniors to develop an entrepreneurial mindset and become innovators and changemakers. By strengthening your understanding of the United Nations Global Goals, you will develop the competencies and confidence to address real-world problems, seize opportunities, have an impact, and create change that leads to your desired future. 

While you work with peers from around the globe, you will develop power skills that allow you to enroll others in your vision, confidently master difficult topics, and embrace other points of view all while earning 4 college credits from Babson, the top-ranked college for entrepreneurship.

x Global Network: Through our hybrid Summer Study program, you will meet students with a wide range of cultural perspectives and experiences who all share a passion for entrepreneurship and innovation.

x Mentors:  Each student will have the opportunity to work closely with Summer Study Academic Mentors. Mentors are Babson graduate and undergraduate students who are demonstrated leaders on campus and beyond.

This is a program designed to empower participants with the creative and innovative skills necessary to harness the potential of AI and shape the future. In this age of automation, creativity is your competitive edge, and innovation is your currency. Led by MIT lecturer Erdin Beshimov, this program could transform the way you look at AI: from an easy shortcut to a ground-breaking new tool. This program includes a trip to MIT’s campus. 

x Empowering Creators: The program is specifically designed to empower participants with the creative and innovative skills essential for navigating the AI-driven future. In an age of automation, creativity stands out as a competitive edge, and innovation becomes the currency of success.

x Augmenting Creativity: While AI excels in efficiency, it lacks the ability to think creatively. Participants will explore how AI can complement, but not fully replicate, human creative thinking.

x Learn from MIT Faculty: MIT Lecturer Erdin Beshimov leads this program!

This program will be lead by Erdin Beshimov, Lecturer at MIT and Senior Director of Experiential Learning at MIT Open Learning.
