BACKGROUND

Dr. Ihab Ismail’s career spans scientific research, advanced science teaching, curriculum development, and student mentorship. He has worked as a scientist at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and the University of North Texas. Before joining NEIA, Dr. Ismail taught at Loomis Chaffee, where he taught advanced science courses including Cell Biology, IB Biology, Genetics, Advanced Chemistry, and Molecular Biology Research. He has also guided students through independent research projects, science competitions, and academic publications.

At NEIA, Dr. Ismail brings his commitment to hands-on investigation, meaningful mentorship, and learning by doing to the Science Department. He helps students develop the skills and curiosity to explore science beyond the classroom, connect concepts to real-world applications, and see how their learning can be used to address meaningful problems.
