Which teacher do you still think about, and why?
My sophomore-year high school English teacher. When we read the feast scene in Macbeth, she invited her husband, who worked with Actors’ Shakespeare Project, to perform the scene for our class. She had everyone bring in a dish, and we turned the lesson into a Shakespeare-themed potluck while they performed. It was such a fun and memorable way to experience the play, and one of my favorite things we did in that class.
What’s something you’re weirdly good at?
Knowing the lyrics to songs by heart.

BACKGROUND
Ms. Kaitlin McCarthy supports prospective students and families throughout the admissions process while helping ensure the Admissions Office runs smoothly and efficiently. She brings a strong background in youth programming, administration, team leadership, and community engagement, with a particular focus on creating welcoming and supportive environments.
Prior to joining NEIA, Kaitlin served as Administrative Director of the Pierce School Extended Day Program. She held leadership roles at the Dedham Community House and the West Suburban YMCA, where she led youth programs and a summer camp serving hundreds of children each week. Her experience working closely with students, families, and staff brings a warm, organized, and collaborative approach to her work in admissions at NEIA.
