Shamara embarked on her educational journey during her senior year of high school through a trade school program. She began her studies at Kennesaw State University and later transferred to Georgia State after completing her sophomore year. With experience working with students ranging from infants to 16 years old, Shamara has developed age-appropriate curricula designed to engage students and foster self-thinking. Her passion for dance began at the age of two at McClendon Performing Arts Institute, eventually leading her to become Co-Captain and then Captain at Phusion Dance Academy at ages 16 and 17. Shamara is trained in classical ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, and contemporary dance. Her goal is to cultivate strong, intuitive readers, thinkers, and problem solvers by employing a variety of strategies to help students reach their full potential.
