BACKGROUND
Melissa (Missy) has a passion for community welfare, boasting over two decades of experience in public service. She embarked on her professional journey as an attorney, working as a Public Defender for the State of Connecticut. After relocating to the Boston area alongside her family, Missy brings her expertise to our team from the Goodnow Library Foundation. There she made significant strides in the Development Office, focusing her efforts on fundraising and spearheading public programming for children and teens.
Driven by an unwavering commitment to education, Melissa serves as a Trustee of the Frederick Gunn School. Beyond her involvement in education, Missy and her children are Family Advocate for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Their advocacy extends to global initiatives promoting enhanced accessibility to cancer research and treatment.
