What’s one task you wish AI could do for you today, and one you hope it never takes?
I would love for AI to have flawless integration into smart home setups. For example, automatically adjust temps, lights, garage doors, locking doors, etc. AI does not belong or shouldn’t be used to replace creative forms like art.
What did you do prior to joining NEIA that has nothing to do with education?
I worked at raytheon simulating missile trajectories

BACKGROUND
Mr. Ryan Kim supports NEIA’s technology infrastructure and helps students, faculty, and staff navigate day-to-day technology needs. With a background in software engineering, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and systems development, he brings a strong technical foundation and a practical, problem-solving approach to his work.
Before joining NEIA, Mr. Kim was a Software Development Engineer at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he worked on cloud database infrastructure, security, automation, and software deployments across commercial and restricted environments. Earlier, he was a Software Engineer at Raytheon Technologies, working on software integration, CI/CD infrastructure, and advanced radar systems. His experience in highly technical and security-focused environments allows him to bring thoughtful, reliable support to NEIA’s technology community.
