BACKGROUND
Mrs. María Eugenia is a dedicated Spanish educator with more than 15 years of experience teaching Spanish Language and Literature to students of all ages and levels. At NEIA, she creates meaningful, real-world learning experiences that help students develop both a strong command of the Spanish language and a deeper appreciation for the cultures and perspectives it represents.
She began her teaching career at Tecnológico de Monterrey in Juárez, Mexico, before moving to El Paso, Texas, where she taught Spanish at Loretto Academy for 11 years. During her time there, she served as Foreign Language Department Head and sponsored the National Spanish Honor Society. A lifelong learner and avid reader, Mrs. Eugenia is also passionate about painting and music. She brings an open-minded, student-centered approach to the classroom, inspiring students to connect with language and culture in authentic and meaningful ways.
