Spanish Teacher

BACKGROUND

María Eugenia is a motivated educator, she has been teaching for over 15 years. Her experience includes teaching Spanish Language and Literature at all levels and ages. She began her career teaching in Juárez, México, at Tecnológico de Monterrey and then moved to El Paso, Texas, where she taught Spanish for the last 11 years at Loretto Academy. She sponsored her high school‘s National Spanish Honor Society and was the Foreign Language Department Head. She is an avid reader, passionate about painting and music, and a lifelong learner. She loves to connect with her students in a way that she can instill a genuine interest in a new language and its culture with an open mind by creating real-world and meaningful learning experiences.

She is honored to be a part of the NEIA community.
