BACKGROUND

Elise started her independent school career as a history teacher, coach, and ropes course staff member at The Lawrenceville School. Since 1995, she has taught Social Studies and English to every grade at The Fenn School. She chaired the Social Studies department and led the Service Learning program as well as advising and coaching. Elise also serves on the Board of The Witness Tree Institute of Ghana, a teacher professional development program that focused on racial justice.
