BACKGROUND
Chuck has worked as a Materials Applications Engineer for two of the country’s largest aircraft engines companies, helping to both resolve manufacturing and quality problems, as well as working on a team to develop and transition new classes of materials into production applications (e.g. ceramic matrix composites to replace metal alloys). Transitioning to teaching, Chuck has taught middle and high school math and science for twenty years, as well as directed youth choirs and musical theater. He hopes to bring this combination of engineering, teaching, and music – integrated and experiential – to NEIA.
