Math Teacher
Alex is a math teacher, coach, and DEI practitioner. He earned a BA in Statistics and English from Amherst College, where he loved working as a managing editor of the Arts and Living section of the student newspaper. He conducted research about racial inequities in the OB/GYN field, noting that adverse health outcomes are far more likely for people of color in the US. Before NEIA, Alex worked at the Fenn School in Concord, MA, as the DEI Teaching Associate, facilitating committees and affinity groups for students and adults, as well as parent and alumni engagement. In his free time, Alex writes and draws graphic novels, one of his personal passions.
