Community Advocate Reports: The Marlborough Rotary Club hosted its first Polar Plunge to Fight Polio event at Memorial Beach in Marlborough. Seven people participated in the inaugural event, which was held in support of Rotary International’s efforts to eradicate polio worldwide. Participants donated to participate and received a long-sleeve shirt, custom mug, and hot chocolate. Interact Clubs from several schools in the area sponsored the event, and the Marlborough Rotary Club hopes to make it an annual occurrence.
