Position Summary 

The Student Life Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Student Life office and coordinating various programs and activities for students. The Student Life office consists of the Head of Student Life, the Director of Residential Life, the Student Life Coordinator, and the Residential Life Coordinator. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will work collaboratively with other members of the Student Life office to ensure that activities and programs run smoothly and efficiently. The Student Life Coordinator will be an integral member of the Residential Life team and is expected to live on campus as a NEIA House Parent.

*The NEIA House Parent assists in developing, implementing, and overseeing all aspects of the residential life program. They help create a supportive, family-like atmosphere and contribute to the development of the NEIA residential community.*

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

● Maintain accurate rosters and schedules for after-school activities and events
● Manage all invoicing and financial transactions related to student activities and events
● Assist with the planning and coordination of school-wide events
● Serve as a liaison between the school and community organizations to build partnerships and develop new opportunities for student involvement and engagement.
● Coordinate transportation for students attending off-campus activities and events.
● Assist with the recruitment and training of student volunteers to support student life activities.
● Provide administrative support to the Head of Student Life, including scheduling appointments and maintaining files and records.
● Communicate regularly with students and faculty to ensure all stakeholders are informed about upcoming activities and events.
● Help create a positive and inclusive school culture by fostering a sense of community among students.

Qualifications

Those living in on-campus housing assume the following *House Parent* responsibilities:

Weekday Duties: Overseeing the evening hours, ensuring the House remains safe and maintains a quiet environment from lights out time.

Weekend Responsibilities:
● Supervising students on campus.
● Chaperoning off-campus trips.
● Serving as the overnight, on-campus presence to ensure student safety and order.

Emergency Contact Role:
● Acting as the primary contact for the guardians of residential students outside of school hours on weekdays (5:30 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.).
● Being the point person for handling weekend passes, permissions, and emergencies.

This role is integral to the residential experience at NEIA, requiring a dedicated and responsible
approach to support the unique needs of boarding students.

Supervisory Responsibilities

● The Student Life Coordinator does not supervise any other NEIA staff.
