Position Summary 

The Residential Life Coordinator is responsible for providing support to the Residential Life and Student Life offices and coordinating various programs and activities for students. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will work collaboratively with other members of the Student Life team to ensure that activities and programs run smoothly and efficiently. The Residential Life Coordinator will be an integral member of the Residential Life team and is expected to live on campus.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

● Provide administrative support to the Director of Residential Life
● Weeknight and weekend supervision as per House Parent requirements
● Maintain accurate rosters and schedules for evening activities and events
● Be available to drive Residential Students to appointments that fall during the academic day
● Manage all invoicing and financial transactions related to Residential Life activities and events
● Assist with the planning and coordination of all Residential Life events
● Serve as a liaison between the school and community organizations to build partnerships and develop new opportunities for student involvement and engagement
● Coordinate transportation for students attending evening off-campus activities and events
● Coordinate with kitchen staff for events, snow days, and other activities
● Assist with the recruitment and training of student leaders within the Residential Life program
● Communicate regularly with students and faculty to ensure that all stakeholders are informed about upcoming activities and events
● Help create a positive and inclusive school culture by fostering a sense of community among students
● Performs other duties as assigned and required by the position and the school

● Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
● Familiarity with financial management and budgeting processes.

● High level of proficiency in Google Suite and Apple applications
● Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing work priorities and stressful situations.
● Creative, critical thinker, and problem solver.
● Ability to take initiative.
● Willingness to engage with students and families with empathy and kindness.
● Ability to work nights and weekends.

Supervisory Responsibilities

● The Residential Life Coordinator does not supervise any other NEIA staff.
