She lived in Los Angeles for 10 years working for a variety of animation studios, until she decided to return home and pursue her love of teaching full time. She’s taught various types of art and design for the past 21 years. Mrs. Grocki got her start at a small Montessori school and continued to teach art in a variety of school settings from private, to public institutions, throughout Massachusetts.
Mrs. Grocki is passionate about helping all students find creative outlets, make connections, and define their interests. She wants her students to share unique creative and educational experiences and enjoy the process of learning. She has been on the Art and Writing Scholastic Board in NYC, and received the prestigious Kennedy Center/ Stephen Sondheim Inspirational Teacher Award after being nominated by a former student who recognized the transformative impact Mrs. Grocki had on her life. In addition, she married her high school sweetheart and has three children. She is passionate about painting, music, and learning new art techniques to share with her students.
