Elisabeth is a recent graduate from the University of Rochester and is from just outside Buffalo, New York. Over the past two years, she served as a teaching assistant and research fellow for political science classes. Lis also tutored math, reading, and writing at local bilingual schools in Spanish and English. Lis had the opportunity to fulfill a lifelong dream of studying abroad in Ecuador and in Spain, which amplified her love for language and people. In addition to Spanish and International Relations, Lis minored in American Sign Language and hopes to work as an advocate for deaf education. In her free time, Lis enjoys running and cycling. She was a member of the cross country and track teams for four straight years in college. This past summer, Lis co-led bike trips in the Pacific Northwest and from New York City to Burlington, Vermont. She would like to explore much more of the world by bike.
