Curriculum, Instruction, and Innovation Coordinator
Ayla began her teaching career in the suburbs of Boston and continued with the Boston Public Schools where she taught ages 7-14 for six years at Mission Hill School. Under the guidance of Deborah Meier, Mission Hill School Founder, she received her school administrative license from the Principal Residency Network. Ayla began what would become 17 years of administrative service as Academy Director at Orchard Gardens followed by a principalship at the Mission Hill School, a progressive, inclusive, and democratic Boston Public Pilot school. She is currently the co-director of the Farm School in Athol, MA, and a Curriculum, Instruction, and Innovation Coordinator at NEIA.
She has connected with a global audience of educators through a variety of educational networks, presentations, school visitations, conference engagements, digital presence, and in writing.
