Required
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred.
- 3+ Experience in admission, international student recruitment, or student support services.
- Experience with Blackbaud NXT and Finalsite; school administration is a plus.
Position Summary
New England Innovation Academy (NEIA) is seeking a dynamic and versatile individual to join our team and assist with all responsibilities of the enrollment operation, include, but are not limited to interviewing, giving campus tours, recruiting and marketing, domestic and international travel, meeting with educational consultants, placement counselors, corresponding with prospective students and families, and evaluate applications.
The salary range for this position is $75,000 – $80,000 based on education, experience, and qualifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Strong sense of initiative to identify and engage new opportunities that move the collective work of the admission office forward.
- Travel domestically and internationally to recruit prospective students and represent NEIA at admission fairs, educational consultant visits, conferences, and school hosted events. This position will be expected to work with the Head Of Enrollment to identify and cultivate a recruitment territory and robust travel schedule.
- Supports the formulation of forward-thinking, strategic application, admission, and enrollment policies.
- With the Head of Enrollment and Director of Marketing, builds partnerships with local schools, corporations, and organizations to promote NEIA.
- Occasionally give campus tours to prospective students, families, and educational consultants.
- Plan and participate in admission events, both on-campus and potentially internationally.
- Conduct admission interviews with applicants and their parents/guardians, educational consultants, etc. securing necessary student credentials.
- Read admission applications and serve on the Admission Committee for the purpose of reviewing and evaluating applicants.
- Develop and implement strategies to attract and recruit prospective international students.
- Build and maintain relationships with international schools, domestic schools locally and regionally, educational consultants, and other recruitment channels.
- Supports enrolled students’ smooth transition to the school by collaborating and providing student information to appropriate school leaders.
- Communicate promptly, effectively, and positively with families through all stages of the admissions process.
- Participate in the afternoon program by coaching, running an activity or its equivalent for one of the three seasons/year.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of the educational landscape and trends in international education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in a second language preferred.
- A comfort level to speak in front of a variety of audiences including large and diverse groups.
- Ability to travel, both domestically and internationally.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills with ability to be detail oriented and flexible, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds of international students.
Supervisory Responsibilities
The Associate Director of Admission does not supervise any other employees at NEIA.
